hdvr2 won't boot

Been around the block with the guys at another site so I thought I'd give you guys a shot.

HDVR2 250g HD, many recordings I'd like to preserve. Tuner went out, bought a replacement unit, and swapped drives, ( I know now), Didn't work. Tried backing up drive and put HD back in original unit, and now it won't boot. Gets to the "Almost There" screen and then shuts down, TV searching for signal, green light goes out.

Last few lines of output with a serial cable:

Question 1: Is there a way to rescue with recordings in tact
Question 2: What is th SW looking for when it goes to ACQUIRE_MARKER

If the green light goes out, it is probably going into standby. Press the directv button on the remote or the Tivo and see if the light and the video comes back on.

Outstanding!! Thank you. I have never seen this before. It usually tries to acquire a signal. It just went straight to standby. The wife will be very happy now that she can catch up on her shows.
