about a year and a half ago I bought a tivo HD and had time warner come out to install the cable card. went pretty smooth. Posted on the cable card install thread. Just bought another tivoHD and now time warner wants to charge 39.99 for them to send a truck to install the cable card. Which we all know is a pretty simple task. They did not charge me this last time, but I am guessing they decided they could. Any one else in austin being charged? WHen did this fee start?>

I would ask to pick up the cablecards yourself. Seems like if they require a truckroll to get them, they need to pay for it.
I just had a CC and TA install from TWC, Dayton, OH. They charged $20 for the truckroll. The only thing the installer did that might have been much harder for me to do was talk directly to the person who does the authorization, activation or whatever it is. He didn't have to go through any telephone menu system like normal customers do.
