Hi everyone,
I'm totally stumped on this issue. I have a Series3 receiving basic OTA digital channels, but today Fox started displaying a totally blank (gray) screen. All other channels are working perfectly fine. I've tried a few things:
1. Switched between rooftop antenna and rabbit ears - neither will display this channel
2. Plugged antenna directly into TV - the channel works fine
3. Restarted Tivo, and rescanned channels - no change
Looked up signal strength and it looks good, plus program information is still available.
Anyone else have this issue? Please help!

What is the affiliate and in what zip code?
In the past six months, there were a few instances of affiliates setting invalid parameters that interfere with the TiVo's ability to tune. Many ATSC tuners will ignore the problem, but TiVo is among those that do not. You may have call TiVo and escalate the issue, so they can put someone in contact with the affiliate.
Here is a thread about a similar problem (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=7080423). Does that match what you are seeing? TivoJerry's responses are below:
ATSC standards call for transportstreamIDs to match. In this case, one of the values did not. We happen to follow the spec more closely than other device manufacturers do.
It takes some digging on our part to find the details and then we have to contact someone who knows what we're talking about. In this case, we were put in contact with the right person who resolved the issue immediately. It even resolved a few other trouble reports they had, so it was a win-win.The signature that was found in Eugene is:
Only one instance of each channel number
Good signal strength
Good signal lock
No program lock
[Now a different issue...]
If people report that they have video on one channel but PGD on another instance of that channel due to the frequency information being wrong, the program data just needs to be updated. With the OTA conversion having occurred for many stations on 2/17, there will likely be a number of these cases that will be resolved when the stations send the correct information to TMS via a company called Media Stats. Because it goes thru two companies, it can take a little longer than a normal lineup issue.
Affected customers should also call in to report a lineup issue just in case the affected TV stations don't know to update their information proactively.
I just filed a request to create a knowledge article based on what was learned from this situation. Until it is written and agents are informed, it could take a little while before they know how to handle this case. I suggest that if someone sees this **specific** scenario, they should tell the agent to escalate it for investigation since it is not a lineup or signal strength issue.
If that perfectly describes what you are seeing, then I would call and emphasize that (a) you have only one instance of the channel number, (b) you have program guide data on the channel, (b) you have good signal strength, (c) you have a signal lock, but (d) you do not have a program lock. Mention that the channel tunes fine on your TV.

But i am experiencing the exact same issue on FOX here in Los Angeles on channel 11.1, and it started last night. I woke up this morning and i was still getting a black screen on channel 11.1 and my Season Pass for this program was recording a black screen with no audio. I have 98 signal strength and guide data is still there for 11.1, just no picture or audio.
I ran an antenna channel scan but 11.1 still showed a black screen.
I restarted the Tivo but still get a black screen on 11.1
However i went back into the Channel List and discovered that the re-scan created a new sub-channel (11.3) but FOX has never used sub-channels here. I enabled it and made it a favorite and now 11.3 shows up in my guide but there is no guide data for it, and when i manually tune to channel 11.3 i could now see the morning news and it was in HD as usual.
My co-worker said he also started getting a black screen on 11.1 sometime last night but did not do a re-scan or re-boot (he's a Tivo newbie) so i told him to hold off till we see what happens next.
I am still able to tune to 11.1 on my Panasonic plasma's internal tuner normally, so it's just the Tivo S3 that's affected.
I had to leave for work so i couldn't play around any further, so i'm hoping Tivo fixes itself sometime today.

KCOP (FOX11 in LA) just announced 99 layoffs (http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/307012-95_KTTV_KCOP_Staffers_Get_Downsizing_Notices.php) this past week. Coincidence?

11.1 is working properly now.
