I own 6 Tivo's...not a typo. I just purchased a Series 2 Dual Tuner to put in our new patio room. I have noticed that the temperature runs at a constant 48C. All my other Tivo's (4 Series2 and 2 Series 3) run in the mid to high 30's. Is it normal for the S2 Dual Tuner box to run hotter? What is everyone elses temp running at?
Thanks!!!

Mine generally runs in the mid-40's. How warm is the room and how good is the ventilation?
BTW, my S3 and HDs all run in the low 40's, too.

All 3 of mine run in the 40s. The two at the bottom of the stack run 46-48 and the top one runs about 42. I don't know if that's because the bottom ones have Seagate 500GB drives and the top one has a WD 500GB drive, or if it's just the placement.
I wouldn't worry as long as it says Normal.

The room is a patio room. We generally keep the thermostat higher in that room than we do in the rest of the house. The room stays between 76 and 80 degrees F. The ventilation is great the box has half inch risers under it and it sits on a shelf with nothing blocking any of the 4 sides. What do you think?
