Hi. I'm a new Tivo user, and I had read that effectively you could store files on your PC using Toast 10 and TivoTransfer.
I have set this up to do this - but was wondering - is it possible to transfer files previously loaded or archived onto your Mac - back to the Tivo DVR at the same resolution? In other words, effectively using your PC's hard drive as a surrogate external storage drive ?

Many thanks.

Yes, pyTivoX (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=412802) does a good job of that for Mac users. Direct link to program site:

Thanks moyekj.

I went through that process, i.e. downloading pyTivoX and putting into application and running.
I did manage to get it to work after a few hiccups, so managed do first transfer a small (1 min) file to the Mac, then using pyTiVoX I transferred it back and played ok.

But now (now sure if coincidence or not??) I cant get Tivo Transfer to work. That is, it can see files on the DVR and I can select to do an Active Transfer - but then transfer doesnt occur. Looks as though transfer is in progress - but is locked in "estimating time".
I have tried rebooting Tivo, computer and network - but still have problem.
Any ideas - is it possible I have corrupted something within the TivO ?
