View Full Version : Can't create season pass on 1 particular OTA channel

NBC in my area is 8-1 and 8-2 (WGAL). I recently ditched Comcast and went with OTA.

I can view both of these channels "live", and can record them directly (by hitting the record button, then select "Record this showing".). But when I select "Season Pass & Other Options", I get the message:

"Make sure 8-1 WGALDT (or 8-2 WGALDT2) has a checkmark in the channel list or call your cable provider to order"

Any idea what's going on here?

If I have to give any other details, I will be happy to provide them.

Oh, I guess I still have Comcast cable cards in my Series 3. I don't think that would be a problem, but who knows.

Edit: When I try to do a "Manual Record", 8-1 and 8-2 don't even show up in the list...?

Edit #2: For posterity, although I don't think anyone else will ever be dumb enough to do this, I was told to take the cablecards out, re-run setup, and that fixed it.

Just as it says, have you verified that both channels are checked in the channel list?

You can manually tune channels whether or not they are activated in your Channel List, so that's not a test whether you can setup a recording or not.

Also rescan your channels.
