Purchased and installed Belkin's Powerline AV+ Networking kit. Comes with two units - one with one ethernet jack (connect to router), and the other one with three ethernet jacks (for TiVo, PS3, etc.). Was up and running less than 15 minutes (which would have been less than 5 if I remembered to add the wired ethernet MACs to my router's whitelist). Connection is rock solid, and in a 50 yr old house, I am still getting a less than maximum, but more than adequate 30Mbps.

Similar experience here, in a 75-year-old house! I'm actually getting 80+ Mbps, which is great. Unfortunately, it has had little effect on my TiVO HD-TiVO HD transfers, which still typically run only about 15Mbps... only slightly better than they did on my shaky wireless bridge.

I bought 4 Netgear Powerline adapters I have both Tivo HDs attached. Previously, I had been using Tivo's wireless adapters. I can now utilize MRV for real time HD viewing at 20-25 Mb/s whereas before it was more like 6-8 Mb/s. My house is 100 YEARS OLD!
Gee, does it have to be a really old house for this to work? What if the house is only 10 years old? :D
Extrapolating from the first three posts, the next glowing report should be for a house 125 years old!

I've been using Powerline Ethernet for probably 2.5 years and it's working flawlessly. My house is about 35 years old (and for those wondering, older wiring is more likely to have problems than newer wiring).

"dlfl" Thanks! I think that was my first out loud laugh I have had due to this forum...
I was thinking the same thing :)

Despite my joking, this looks like a really nifty thing. I hope the price (currently around $135 for 3-port system) will come down with volume and time?

67 YO old. Lynksys powerline adapters work great. My TiVo to PC transfers take about half the time they did wirelessly.

Tivo states that it can't find the network - error with DHCP not found.

Tivo states that it can't find the network - error with DHCP not found.Sometimes soft-booting the TiVo can help... if you can stand the ten minute wait... BTW, is your TiVo configured with a static IP (assuming you're using a router)? That can ease the IP negotiation process.
