I have an HD-DVR TIV652160. I was wondering if it's possible to just pull the hard drive out of my existing TIV652160 and install it into another TIV652160?

Is there anything specific that I will need to do?

No problem, only to make the drive work in the other TiVo you need to Clear And Delete Everything. You'll loose Recordings, Settings, Season Passes ... everything.
