Mpeg Streamclip does a good job converting VOBs to MPG (in my limited experience) and is much faster than VOB2MPG.

aren't .vob files really just .mpg files? can't you just rename the file you need to .mpg? or do you have a lot of .vob files in video_ts?

The MPEG Streamclip: video converter seems like it working ok. Will find to tomorrow when I get my hard drive get here. Would have had it today but UPS put it on the wrong truck.
