View Full Version : Transfer issues TiVo > PC/Mac

Gang,

I have been trying everything to transfer shows off of my Series 2 Tivo with no luck (its connected wireless through our home network using an Airport Extreme). I have been trying with my PC (Tivo Desktop) and my Mac (iTiVo & TiVoDecode Manager). The shows do appear correctly in my Now Playing list on all three applications, but the problem starts when I attempt to transfer. It just does not transfer. The iTivo application is the only one that gives me feedback, saying that its waiting for TiVo to respond and eventually gets timed out.

any advice?

Have you tried kmttg?

EDIT: And did you put in your proper MAK when you used these other methods?

I will try kmttg when I get to house later today.....

The MAK is correct. All the programs I have tried have successfully connected and actually shown my "Now Playing " list accurately. The problems lies when I actually try to transfer a show.

On a side note, I also cannot access Video on Demand. It states that I need to connect to a home network. (I do not use V on D because I live outside the USA). This has seemed odd to me, because I use a TiVo wireless adapter and it constantly reads 92-94% signal strength and I can access photos/music from all computers on my network. I mention this just in case its related.

Now that you mention some of these other issues, when was the last time you restarted your TiVo?
