Another channel running through the blacks

Since I got a plasma, I've noticed that TiVo recordings off the sky digibox have breakthrough of another channel that you can see on the black of end credits, running through from right to left.

If I pause it, then the patterning stops, so it's being recorded.

Is this crosstalk from the TiVo RF tuner? (& how do I get rid of it?)

Do you have anything connected to the Tivo VCR scart.
I found that if I left the unit powered on that I had feeding in via the VCR scart I got a similar effect when wanting to watch a Tivo recording and Live TV via Tivo BUT the interference was not being recorded by Tivo

Nope, there's nothing in the VCR socket.

Do you use a fully screened SCART cable?

probably not.. worth a shot.

It's usually the TV's tuner sending a signal back down the SCART cable (it's actually 2 way), which sometimes gets faintly picked up and displayed. One method thats sometimes used is to open up the SCART cable and snip Pin 19 at the TV end. That way the signal being sent back from the TV never gets to Tivo and problem solved.

Also look in the menu's to see if there is a "Monitor" or some such that tells you what is sent back out the SCART socket.

You can do this on the Sky to AUX SCART too.
