Can I keep my shows on a removed hard drive?

I have a lifetime subscription on my Humax T-800 Series 2 Tivo, and I'm hoping to upgrade it to a 1 TB hard drive. I have upgraded the unit before to 300GB, and want to know if I can transfer the 300GB hard drive (which still has shows I want to watch) to another T-800 Tivo that I have - and still keep the shows?
Also, is there a way to have both Tivos on the same TV? One actually recording shows, and the other to watch until I've deleted everything still on there?

You cannot move hard drives to another non-hacked TiVo and be able to use the recordings. Recordings are encrypted to the unit that recorded them.

If the TV (or your Home Entertainment system receiver) has multiple inputs, you can connect a TiVo to each input. You can set each remote to a different remote code. This is documented in the manual.
