endpad without cachecard

I remember someone made a hack for using endpad without a cachecard - has anyone got a link to the guide for this?

endpad doesn't use a cachecard. I think you mean installing endpad without a network card? There are two ways to do this. One is to remove the tivo hard drive and hook it up to a PC, instal endpad and then put the hard drive back in tivo. The other is via the tivo serial interface. A forum search for serial PPP should help.

I did put together a step by step guide based on installing it with a network card. You will need to pull the drive and connect it to a PC

It was also recommended that you enable the serial interface should you need to tweak it in future (see the end of my instructions).
