View Full Version : Galleon: Media Stored on Network Share

I was wondering if anyone has successfully run Galleon service on Windows as a user - as discussed on this Galleon FAQ: galleon.sourceforge.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=48&Itemid=47

I have the iTunes app running successfully over the network storage as long as my Itunes Library is setup as network mounts - e.g \\nasserver\media.

I'd like to use a mapped drive syntax instead - e.g. z:\media - so that I'm only using one Itunes Library. If I fire up iTunes - the library gets re-written and changes all my \\nasserver\media to file://localhost/Z: and then Galleon can no longer find the music mp3 files.

I changed the Galleon service properties as described in the link above and it still doesn't seem to find my mapped drive.

I'm hoping someone has successfully done this and can tell me that I've missed something very simple.

Thanks very much.
