So, it's Friday morning, I turn on my TV where Good Morning America is supposed to be recording and it's blank. I look at my guide and I see there are now two 7-1 channels. Apparently I got a new one last night. That's fine. It's showing on the second 7-1. I rescan and now I've lost a couple of channels I used to get. Let's take NBC for example. I used to get 11-1, now I don't get anything. *But*, it's coming in fine on my other two TVs that are hooked up directly to my antenna. So I know I have signal, but for some reason, the HR10-250 doesn't see them.
I'm in SF Bay. Anyone else having problems.

Some stations changed their broadcast frequency today. Have you tried rescanning for off-air channels?

You should not have to do anything on the HR10 except wait for DirecTV to update local channel database. Once it does, the HR10 will know where to tune for the locals in your guide.
Since you had stations change frequencies, you may have to also do some antenna work to get the new frequencies. If you can get the digital locals on you antenna on others sets (not getting them via the DirecTV sats) then your antenna must be OK.
There is a thread about this already:

Yes, I rescanned and found the new channels. I'm wondering if somehow NBC strength has decreased enough that the in-box receiver isn't strong enough to get it anymore - NBC was always the weakest - it broadcasts from a different antenna than ABC, CBS. I can see the NBC channels in my guide, but getting the "searching" message. It's very weird.
I'll wait through the weekend and see what happens. But I'll be very bummed if I can't get NBC and PBS HD. :-( Tho' I can get NBC HD on the DirecTV HD DVR, they don't offer PBS - and I watch a lot of PBS HD.

Go to the SF OTA forum over at AVSForum. Lots of folks discussing the bay area DTV cut over there.
