Hi all -
I may be out of luck but I thought I'd give it one more shot on this forum. I searched but didn’t find anything similar....
I have two Series 2 TiVo boxes in different rooms.
The back arrow button on one of my peanut remotes stopped working. The remote red light comes on and the green light on the TiVo box "flickers" so I know it is receiving something from the remote. I tried the back arrow on both boxes and it didn't operate on either box.
All other remote buttons operate just fine.
The back arrow on my other TiVo remote operates correctly on both TiVo boxes so I don't think it's a problem with the box.
Things I have tried (with no success) include:
• I reset the TiVo box
• I took apart the remote and cleaned both the circuit board and the contacts on the rubber pad with alcohol and q-tip
• I replaced the batteries
• I reset the remote by pressing/holding Pause, then TiVo and then pressing 0
• I removed all other remotes from the room to make certain that there was no IR interference
I use the back arrow button quite a bit to move through menus and to bring up TiVo functions from live TV. I can always press the TiVo button to take me back to the top but it’s kind of a pain.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Rob
