I got an old one that has been sitting in storage for a couple years. Any one interested in it? Trades/Cash will be considered.

I currently use the sony t-60 off a round dish. If I bought a HR 10-250 would I get a better output resolution from the SD channels or would it look the same ?

If connected to the same TV, the output would be the same, since you'd have to use the s-video outputs. If the TV has component or HDMI, then the output of the HR10 could be set to 720p or 1080i. The PQ may or not be better, depending on the TV.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I have a sony which will display 1080i, which I seem to get from over the air antenae and from my DVD player, but definitetly a drop off in pq from my sony dvr. So the HR10-250 won't put out 1080i if I use the s cable? My TV doesn't have HDMI:(

1080i is only possible over component (blue, green, red cables) and HDMI. If your TV accepts DVI, as does mine, you can use a HDMI to DVI cable to connect your HR10 for a 1080i or 720p image.

Yes my TV does take DVI, so the SD signal will display in 720p or 1080i and if so do you think on a 53" tv its worth the $100 bucks to get the HR10-250 with activation?
Thanks
Love my TIVO but not happy with my current PQ:(

Probably not. Upconverted SD video isn't likely to look much better than normal SD video.

Unless of course you were to use the HR10-250 to record locals in high-def using it's optional antenna input*. Those would look much better than the DirecTV SD local channels you're getting now.

*(It can only do that while subscribed to DirecTV, but you don't need to be subscribed to their HD package to use the antenna to record broadcast HD)

Thanks a bunch.. More undecided than ever, but at least I won't have false expectations. I guess I'm surprised e-bay is moving the H10-250 @ $100 bucks. FIOS is more and more tempting:(
I've had the t-60 since 96

BTW, the HR10-250 can tune OTA HD and thus can record them.
