S2 maybe not harddrive [Text View]

i have a S2 HUMAX w/ DVD with lifetime subscription, that I thought the hard drive was bad on. When booting, after the Welcome! Powering Up.... screen the screen went orange and stayed that way.

I friend gave me their S2 (model TCD649080) which works, I was able to connect to TiVo.

I took the drive from the working unit and replaced the drive in the HUMAX. Nothing, same problem, orange screen.

Any ideas?

Since my original post, I have tried rebooting the unit a couple more times. Instead of the orange screen, I get a screen that has orange and green stripes running vertically on the screen.

That 649 software will not work in a Humax, even if the Humax was working.
