I'm really looking forward to this (http://www.theonion.com/content/news/smoke_monster_from_lost_given_own?utm_source=a-section). I've always thought the Smoke Monster was the most neglected character on the show. And doing it as a sitcom is just pure genius.

I think casting Lea Thompson is a mistake.

However, I'm thrilled that its a Chuck Lore production .. hopefully there will be some great Vanity Cards at the end.

You know, I'm embarrassed to say I clicked on the damned link :(

If I were to click on this link -- which I haven't -- I would fully expect either (1) a rickroll or (2) an Onion or YouTube parody. Not interested in either, so I won't be clicking on the link.

I saw the leaked pilot the other day and it was great. I hear they're replacing Dustin Diamond with Christopher Mintz-Plasse though. Not sure how I feel about that. Clearly Screech's oeuvre has earned him this prestigious role.

+1.

Especially this part..."Though the project has been in development for almost a year, negotiations reached a standstill last winter when representatives for the mysterious, billowing actor expressed concern that their client would risk being typecast as "just a smoke monster" if the role were carried into a new series."

"ABC sources reported that the series will transplant the evil black cloud from the island of Lost to the suburbs of Chicago"

When will we be mature enough as a society to cease stereotyping clouds?

That might be the point of the new show. To confront and breakdown stereotypes.

I wonder if ABC is going to get angry letters for giving a black cloud a white wife.

Didn't that thing have a guest appearance on Stargate: Atlantis? Or am I thinking of a different entity entirely?

I thik for the first couple of seasons he stunt-doubled for Joe Flanigan's hair, until ABC found out he was moonlighting and made him stop...

Tony Stewart (Smoke) can guest star as the wacky next door neighbor!:D

I'm only going to watch if there's no laugh track. That automatically means it's intelligent TV.

It is the only one on the Island to not have a flash-back. So maybe this will be it's story.

Well another waste of airtime, why don't they just call it Archie Bunker. Anyone that get's 2 million a show should be shot. Nothing against Lea but that is stupid.. We pay by suffering with 10 min's. of commercials for a 30 min. show.
I quit watching sitcoms after the last funny one ended (Soap). I hope it good for those of you who choose to suffer through it.
Actors are just another reason for our bad economy, GREED.

Funny!
"And of course, you'll be hearing lots of its classic catchphrase, 'Brrrrr, chk-chk-chk-chk, muuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrhhh,'" Lorre added.

Would a cloud of dark smoke stand out that much in Chicago? Of course the actor is in danger if he ventures out on a real windy day. (What am I thinking? This will all be shot on a sound stage in Burbank!! Silly me!)

Although this is the first show to have a phasexual couple, I hope they don't get too political, and focus more on the humor involved in this couple's relationship.

Who wants to start a drinking game for whenever they use some variation of the "You've got a smokin' body" joke?

Joke? What joke? I believe everthing on the internet.

Actually a South China newspaper once picked up a story from the Onion and ran it as a real news item.

Considering how they like to suppress "real" news, I doubt that was an accident. :)
