What a craptacular movie. I was flipping thru the guide while being on the phone one day and saw this and had to record it. The way the earth opened up and swallowed the dragracing jerk was funny. And having the heroes guy being a doctor was right in line with who I expected him to be. I cant picture who the prez was though but he was in some cop show I watched I think.

And I had no idea turning off electronics prevents them from being zapped..kinda like unplugging your tv I guess. In some other shows like jericho, everything is fried whether turning it off or not. I guess i need to do some research into the area.

You gotta love when the scientist is right and no one listens. Somehow i dont get too tired of that line since it sometimes winds up frying the managers who dont listen :)

I dont remember much else about it now, it's been a few days, but it's true to form a sci fi classic

Anybody know for sure? I read a page that said anything attached to a power source. I saw lightening turn a TV on (activate CRT) and the TV was turned off. EMP would have destroyed that TV.

Even I didn't watch this one. I saw the previews and said "Nope." I did watch about 15 minutes of Pteradactyl before realizing I'd seen it before but must have blanked it from my mind.

SciFi broadcast Pitch Black last night. That was a significant step up in quality from their usual fare.

Craptacular is the modus operandi for Sci Fi originals. Was Bruce Campbell in this one?
