Due to a mistake, I missed the episode of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" that aired today (May 26th) at 6:00 PM PDT. The first contestant was a NASA employee going for $250,000. Did anyone happen to record this? I'd be so grateful to get a copy or at least find out what happened.

Thank you!

The $500,000 question was:
In 1902, Willis Carrier became the father of modern air conditioning when he developed a humidity controller for use where?
A) Bakery
B) Cigarette factory
C) Burlesque theater
D) Printing shop

The guy very quickly decided he didn't know it (he had no lifelines left), and left with the $250K.

The answer was D, which is what he thought. (But he said he doesn't gamble for that much.)

What I didn't realize until I rewatched this part to post this was that they bank up all of the unused time on each question for the $1 million question. (I very quickly skim through this show -- effectively read through the questions quickly, and listen to a BIT of each contestant's pondering, sometimes.. and listen to part of the lifelines.)

Awesome! Thank you. So he was going for the $500,000 question at the start? Is there any way you could post the beginning of the show (up until he leaves)?

So do you mean they can "save up" time for the $1 million question?

Thanks again!

Ha! Just trying to figure out the question - my initial thought was the cigarette factory so they could control the humidity for the leaves & such, but I guess they like high humidity anyway so print shop would be the logical choice since the presses would run smoother under cooler conditions. Of course much could be made of conditions in the burlesque theatre (behave!).

Please don't top-post.

Yes, he was going for $500K at the beginning.

I deleted it already, and couldn't post it anyway.
