Here in Oregon we got the new .TV channels on 548 and 599 plus a couple of others, but the TIVO guide is listing the channels as Local Origination with no guide data. How do we get TIVO to add these channels correctly?

TiVo uses Tribune Media Services for the show description.
Whenever a new channel is added, you need to wait for them to get their database updated.
You can check their web site to see if the channels are listed.

Yes, it's yet another instance of Tribune's apathy and/or incompetence.
JimSpence, they have updated their database. "Local Origination" is what they updated it to. They seem to think that this is an acceptable level of service.
Granted, Verizon's own data for these channels (i.e., from the FYI service, that Verizon uses for their STBs) has no individual show names for these channels, but at least they have the correct channel names. Apart from the notification, we were better off before they were added, since the correct names were provided by the CableCards, but now those are overridden by "LOOR0558", etc.
The whole "Local Origination" thing needs to die. All of those channels (not just the .TV channels) have names. I've tried to get Tribune to provide some of them in the past -- like Fios One, for which Verizon has full guide data -- but gotten nowhere. (Even Verizon doesn't name the PEGs in their guide, unfortunately.)
Fios One is handled especially badly -- it's a single channel, but Tribune lists it twice, once as "Local Origination", and once as "MASN2". It is MASN2 part-time (MASN2 is only a part-time channel), but this is a ridiculous way to handle it.

Tribune's description is only as good as what the station tells them.
Contact the stations involved and tell them to get their act together. :)

This is annoying. First I get about 6 HD channels I could really care nothing about, and now even if I DID want to watch something on them I have no idea what they're showing.
Just get rid of them and give me AMC, Spike, and G4 in HD.
