Yeah it was one of those shows you knew would fail and did...lasted only one season.

Personally I wouldn't invest any time in it.

Recap of show:
Nine people, mostly strangers to each other, are linked together when they are held hostage in a bank robbery gone wrong. In each episode, viewers learn new details of the 52-hour standoff, of which only brief snippets are seen.

The pilot episode establishes the events which the rest of the series will embellish. Two men enter the bank, armed, and quickly restrain both the security guard and an off-duty police officer. Viewers see details of what brought each person to the bank that day.

Some time after the end of the standoff, the former hostages arrange a meeting with one another in an effort to stay in touch and help each other. Various characters also form relationships apart from the group and maintain regular contact with each other during the week, while others are connected through relationships that predate the events in the bank.

They never finished the story so I wouldn't waste your time...

So is this just a repeat of what aired on ABC or are there going to be some unaired episodes?

I don't remember the scenario from when it first aired, but I thought they cut it short without airing all the episodes they had. They will be airing all episodes that were filmed. That being said, I don't know if what they filmed actually wrapped things up or not.

ETA after seeing Steveknj's post: They should be airing any episodes that ABC did not air at the time.

I was thinking about rewatching this, but if they're going to leave us hanging for the second time, I might not bother.

Directv replayed Smith including a few episodes that CBS never aired, so maybe they'll do the same here.

DirecTV's web site and ad spots for the 101 network indicate that they will air "unseen episodes" of The Nine and Smith.

Smith was a little more self contained, I think. It didn't have a dominant series-long story arc like The Nine, which was left unresolved.

It will be the same for The Nine. They will air all 13 episodes that were made, of which 9 were broadcast, although the other 4 may have been aired in a burn-off time slot. I do not think this series had closure either, but I'm not sure.

Kind of looking forward to this... It'll make good summer viewing while my regular shows are between seasons.

I never caught it the first time around.

I'm pretty sure there never was any closure to the story. I watched the remaining episodes (they were available online) and don't remember there being closure to the story.
