Connect my philips hr708 to HD dish

The installer left and I connected my philips hr708. I had to change it from 2 tuners to 1 because this room can only have 1 line. I went through the guided setup and it would only accept the round dish with single LNB. Everything went well however there is no picture now. This tuner worked fine in the other room. Is this becasue the setup is wrong or did direct TV accidentally cancel this box?

Can you still connect this unit in the other room?
If so, does it work?
What dish do you have?
Do you have a multiswitch in the system?
What other receivers do you have?
Have you tried one of them where the DVR doesn't work?

Do you know if the installer put in a dish wiith a built-in Single-Wire Multiswitch (SWM)? If so, it won't work with the DTiVo.

One easy way to tell - how many satellite feeds are going into the DirecTV HD box? If only one, and if there is a power module between the HD box and the dish somewhere, you have SWM.
