I attempted to transfer 3 shows from my TiVo series 3 to my TiVo HD last night, the blue lights came on, but nothing shows up in the TiVo HD Now Playing guide. It ran all night, still nothing. I've rebooted both devices, as well as all my network gear, and I still have the phantom blue lights, and nothing in the menu on the destination TiVo. At this point, I'd just like to cancel it, but I don't know how to do that, since I can't select the show to stop it. Any suggestions?

I seem to recall having a problem with stuck transfers that weren't cancelling from Galleon to a Series2 TiVo, but rebooting both TiVos solved it.
I also assume you checked the To Do list, and they also aren't showing up there, right?

Just in case, when you say rebooted did you unplug them ?

Had this happen to me one time and I had to reboot (unplug) both units.

I am having the same problem for about 2 weeks now. I've unplugged both units, reinstalled TIVO desktop, and rebooted the router several times. I am at a loss... 6 years with Tivo - nothing but minor problems - but it seems now I have hit a wall. Hope to get it resolved soon because my wife is screaming we need to dump Tivo

this happened to me about one month ago. i called tivo and went through a bunch of stuff but I had to reset the receiving tivo and it went away.

Reset as in reset everything or just a reboot? I think I will give TIVO a call tomorrow. Last resort would be to reset back to factory settings but I really hate to lose all my programming and season passes. Any other ideas out there?

I had a similar problem but was able to solve it by cancelling the transfer. I went to the "sending" tivo, selected the program and told it to cancel (I don't remember the exact steps). I think I had to rebooe one of the Tivos afterwords. Hope this helps.

I was able to resolve it by deleting them off the to-do list, and then rebooting the receiving unit again. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, that's what I did. Glad I could help.

I've seen it as well...usually have to go to the Recording history to delete from there...
Similarly, I've also seen where i'd watch while transferring, delete, then go to transfer another and instead of "Transfer Now" it will say "cancel transfer"...
