This may be the lasrgest number of shows I've lost in one season yet.

Terminator, Earl... I think that's it. I haven't picked up a lot of new shows the last few years.

Eli Stone. I'm probably dropping Heroes, too. I don't have much I'm recording any more, so I'm not really losing much.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Reaper
Pushing Daises
The Unit
Stargate: Atlantis
The 4400
Dead Zone

The last two were technically "lost" last summer, but they would have been coming back on right about now.

I also stopped watching the CSIs, 24, and Survivor. The wife watches the first two, but I just read while they are on.

Um, no. Neither The 4400 or Dead Zone were on last summer. The last time they played was summer of 2007.

New shows don't count as "lost" AFAIC -- we never really "had" them.

Here's what we're "losing":

Boston Legal
Samantha Who
Sarah Connor Chronicles (our choice)
Eli Stone
Dirty Sexy Money (our choice)
Lipstick Jungle (our choice)
Reaper
Life
ER
The Unit

I think the large amount of show "losing" this year can be directly attributed to how few shows the networks canceled between last year and this year, mostly due to the writers' strike.

Not many that I can think of... I liked Trust Me, so i guess that.. Dirty Sexy Money, but I got over that a while ago.

Can't think of any other shows, oh yeah I will miss Eleventh Hour. All these shows are in their first or second season though, so not really losing anything that I had any investment in.

This is probably one of the best years ever for me in terms of shows going away that I will miss.

I may be missing a show or two in there so all in all, around 20 shows. Some were known, others not. Overall a VERY disappointing week of network upfronts.

Canceled shows:
The Unit
Terminator:TSCC
BSG
Reaper
Prison Break

Being purged from the SP list because I'm tired of them:
Heroes
Smallville
Scrubs

Considering that's 2/3 of my prime time SPs, I'll have opportunities to sample a lot of new shows come fall! I'll probably give Fringe a second shot, too.

Funny how many viewers "Terminator" had in this forum, yet its Nielsen numbers were abysmal. :(

But forums in general are a VERY tiny niche of folks...and many forums are mainly full of what's considered the "sci-fi geek" crowd...not EVERYONE mind you, but a huge cross section of website forums tend to be of that persuasion.

I was wondering about that, because my D* guide data (and the advertising around the show) keep saying it's a SEASON finale, not SERIES finale. It will be interesting to see how they end things tonight.

Terminator and Prison Break. Neither will really be missed. Though I kinda liked PB, it had far overstayed its term.

What's really depressing is how few shows I had/have left to lose.

Of those, the only one I'll really miss is Eli Stone, but I've had plenty of time to come to terms with it already.

Dirty Sexy Money
King Of The Hill (sort of - there are anywhere from two to six episodes left, but Fox has not announced if they will air; I would not be surprised to see the show brought back in January just to burn off the remaining episodes)
Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? (technically, this is a maybe - Fox is showing new episodes this summer, and may move the show to "summer only", possibly to fill the gap caused by So You Think You Can Dance? moving to "fall only" after this summer)

I hope it reruns.. I missed the 3rd episode and the finale. the 3rd because there were two on during one week and I had previously moved the recording to Friday thinking it was the 'rerun' that was happening the previous weeks.. Then I fell victim to the 'analog channel going away' problem that happens on the S3 varieties.

I'll miss The Shield - the best show ever, IMO - but it seems like it has been gone for a long time already.

I watched Prison Break but can't say I'll miss it as it had run its course - and then some.

Will miss Life mostly because I loved the women in the cast, though it was certainly one of the better shows on TV.

If someone could put the non-stop-action dudes from Prison Break in a show with the smart and sexy women from Life, I would watch.

Beyond that, I'm more disappointed that so many of the shows I've been watching are done for the season (but not for good): Lost, American Idol, Survivor, Apprentice, etc. There just isn't anything decent to watch right now. I may have to start reading or talk to my family or something.

We're finally getting caught up on Life On Mars (we're further behind on this than other shows since it doesn't always get recorded in our primary viewing room). We just watched a few episodes from Feb/March over the past week or so... I'm really going to miss this.

I just posted a similar list on another forum I'm on. I'll just copy:

I am so not happy List:*
My Name Is Earl
Dirty Sexy Money
My Own Worst Enemy
Privileged
Samantha Who?
*This is actually a shorter list than I've had in past years

I watched but don't really care, even though it's still annoying List:
Eleventh Hour
Knight Rider
Kings
The Unusuals

I cannot believe this one didn't get canceled List:
Dollhouse (although for once I'm REALLY happy it didn't)
Gary Unmarried
Scrubs (should have gone out with that perfect finale!)
Medium
Parks & Recreation
Chuck

I loved it but I'm okay with them at least giving me a proper ending:
Boston Legal
Prison Break

Thank GOD it got canceled List:
Kath & Kim
The Starter Wife

I like this show. It's a fairly typical sitcom, but still funny.

Johnny Dancing
06-04-2009, 02:30 PM
Life On Mars - doesn't really count as it turned out to be more of a mini series.
Terminator - Just as it started to get interesting and John Connor grew a pair.
11th Hour - No big deal, just an elliptical training show

The other shows canceled were getting long in the tooth or were not up my alley. There should be 3 new shows next season to replace these.

It wasn't on the CW's schedule anywhere and thefutoncritic.com has it listed as ending this year, and since it wasn't a ratings hit, I would say it's a safe bet that it's gone.
