except for supernatural, not a lot for me but i'm sure those renewed series will be appreciated

on the name alone, the vampire thing sounds cliche but maybe they will surprise us! Buffy maybe resurrected? :)

Unfortunately, I'm guessing it is more of an attempt to lure the Twilight audience, and not the Buffy audience. ;)

Seeing all the shows it is competing against in its Thursday night timeslot (flashforward, survivor, bones, lame NBC sitcoms) its future doesn't look very bright. I would have given it a chance if my tuners weren't otherwise occupied with survivor/bones. Same with Flash Forward.

I might check out the new Melrose Place. In college, the original was sort a guilty pleasure myself and a bunch of friends watched. Like Xena.

Wow....it looks like another year of not having to watch the CW for us.

Will they every make decent shows on there?

Seriously, we have so far to date never watched the CW....wait...my wife watches Oprah reruns on our local CW...so I guess we sort of watch the CW.

The only three shows I ever watched are all gone, Beauty and the Geek gone after 2007, Everybody Hates Chris and now Reaper are gone this year. Seriously, can they NOT find new ideas than to rehash Melrose Place? If their target audience is teenage girls, then why rehash a show most of them never heard of? No CW for me at all next year.

Supernatural is one of the best shows on TV, look forward to another season.

I agree. I'd stack Supernatural against any other network show besides Lost.

Looks like I'm the wrong demographic for Vampire Diaries after reading its short synopsis.

Unless you're a 13-year old girl, I don't think you're CW's target audience :)

Too bad my local CW is on a sub-channel and thus not in HD. Oh wait, that's not bad. :) I use the "alternate" source to get Supernatural and Smallville to get the widescreen version. Looks pretty good using WMP on my 32" LCD TV.

My local CW did the same thing. The primary channel is CBS and they tried CW in 720P along with CBS at 720P for a half year and the sports fanatics had a *****fit about the quality of sports on CBS, so the station downgraded the CW back to 480i and then didn't give additional bitrate to CBS for a couple weeks after. CBS-HD doesn't look any better to me than it did when the CW subchannel was in HD along with it. Unfortunately for CW fans midway between Lexington and Louisville and east of that.. it means you have to steal the x264 versions from online sources in order to watch your CW shows in HD. The local cable systems and satellite services don't even offer an HD version of CW in this area! I like sports some and realize the money with advertisers is the reasoning behind this, but it stinks we'll probably never see a free CW in high definition over the air now for this part of Kentucky. I can only pick-up the Louisville CW-HD channel late at night when atmospheric conditions are exactly right and they're not showing Smallville and Supernatural at 2am.. they are showing infomercials.

I was happy to read a couple days ago that the Gossip Girl spinoff with Brittany Snow is officially dead. The introductory episode two weeks back was by far the worst of the series.

Not happy about "Privileged," but it just didn't get even the minuscule ratings it needed to survive.

I have 20 episodes of 90210 from this year to watch... That is pretty much the only show I might give a chance next year. None of the new shows appeal to me at all, not that they are targeted at me.

I'm just waiting for The CW to launch a new, reimagined version of The Heights.

"How Do You Talk To An Angel", indeed.

It's amazing to me that the CW only has 9 shows.

Looks like Tuesday night is retro night for the CW, with 2 resurrected 90's shows. Very strange seeing them in tandem like that.

VERY glad to see Supernatural, though I don't think there was any fear of cancellation there.

Vampire Diaries? Probably not. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but there's too much other interesting stuff on Thursdays.

Fridays is filling up quickly for me.

admittedly we didnt even have PBS until just recently though and philly is number 5!Heck, we don't even have our locals in SD here from DirecTV. Our OTA is as follows: CBS with The CW on a subchannel, ABC, Fox with My Network on a subchannel, and PBS HD with local PBS and PBS Create as subchannels. Oh yeah, we have a low power NBC affiliate (not digital).

Neither is 90210, but apparently that hasn't stopped you. ;)
