Does anyone know the best way to stream movies from a Intel Powered MAC computer to a Series 3 HD DVR?

I use Galleon (to serve them up) and VisualHub in case I need to convert the format of the movie I want to watch. Galleon is freeware, and VisualHub is shareware and well worth the cost.

Download pyTiVoX (http://code.google.com/p/pytivox/) for the Mac.
See the View Computer Videos (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=7097293#post7097293) sticky for more information.

Or did you actually mean stream? If so, check out the Home Media features forum here for Streambaby (http://tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=416858).

Yup, I know. But it's a more complicated solution to deal with than just Streambaby alone, so if all the OP wanted was simple streaming, Streambaby might be a better bet. Obviously lots more capability in pyTiVoX, though.

I was under the impression that was the intention behind the pytivox distribution....but anyway :)
Any of these could be what the OP was looking for, hope they helped :)

another vote for pyTivox. Works great on my older Macbook that serves as our media server.

you don't really need another vote for pyTivoX, but I'll give you another one anyway. It's stable, works, and does everything you need with no fuss.
