Slow download speeds from Amazon

Is anyone else seeing slow download speeds from Amazon on their TiVo?

Downloads from Amazon on my TiVo average at about 2.5 mbps despite my Internet connection being 12 mbps. In the past (last year), I would get at least 5 or 6 mbps download speeds from Amazon, or at least I could watch programs in real time.

The TiVo is connected to a wireless bridge, but I've tested non-Amazon (TiVoCast) downloads and they average about 4.5 mbps, I can stream Netflix HD without a problem and PC to TiVo transfers are about 7 mbps.

What's strange is that I can download Amazon video to my PC at about 11 mbps, so the Amazon downloads are only slow on my TiVo.

The entire internet seems to have slowed down on me lately, both at home and at work. Maybe Newsposter was right and the Internets are running out of bandwidths (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=424869) ;)

As far as Amazon goes, it has always been slow on my network even when I had much faster download speeds, it typically takes minimum 8 hours to download a movie.

I do get faster speeds on my laptop vs the Tivo, but I can download a 42 minutes SD show in about 40 minutes, and a 1hr40min HD movie in about 90 minutes.
