I didn't even know about this until last night reading a blurb on Aintitcool.com. Apparently it was commissioned a couple of years ago, and has been released over the past week or two as 5 minute webisodes. All of the webisodes and the 10 minute finale were aired this morning at midnight on CN Adult Swim.

Overall reaction? Not bad...but not great either. I never was a huge GI Joe fan, so I don't really remember any of the characters other than the major players. I'm not sure if the characters were accurate or not. And while it was nice to see them try to introduce some realism--including introducing a huge support staff--giving COBRA some guns that can actually hit something would have been a welcome touch.

Supposedly this is a one-shot, with no tie in to the movie (I guess it was commissioned by Hasbro as part of the 25th anniversary). I wouldn't mind seeing it picked up for more episodes, though--the failings are minor, and it could do quite well.

I thought it was okay.

I enjoyed how they handled the change of Cobra Commander's character/personality.

Not bad, although I don't recall Destro sounding like Sean Connery.

Destro was always supposed to be Scottish, though.

i didn't know about these. I watched the first two and they definitely are a bit more hard core than the 80's Joes.

Destro was always supposed to be Scottish, though.

Growing up my friends and I always thought he was black. Then we saw him in a comic book and were REALLY disappointed. They need to do a reboot like they did with the Nick Fury character in the Marvel cartoons.

Overall this is pretty bad ass though.

Thought it was gonna be another eff up like they did with all those new transformers cartoons. Those all seem to be made with little kids and Digimon style animating.

Hope they make more. YO JOE!!!!

I remember thinking the same thing when the cartoon was on in the 80's.
