How do I opt out of Tivo's collecting of data?
My web account page shows "Opt-default" which isn't meaningful. I assume that the default is "opt-in" which is what the label really should state.
In any event, is there any way from the Tivo itself or the web site to opt-out!?
Thanks!

Mine says
Privacy status: Opt-In
So the default is not opt-in.

I was trying to do that, too, today. I could not find any way to OPT anything.

scandia, that's helpful! Still wish they would
1) Restate it as "opt-out" rather than "opt-default".
2) Let us change this from the web or, even better, the Tivo itself!

You do realize that it's anonymous aggregated data, right?

Opt-out != Opt-default. Opt-out excudes your use from anonymous aggregate data.

Yeah.. when I called in to change my status, they sent me a survey.. I let them know that HAVING to call to opt out was so pre-internet and that my view of Tivo as current technology was greatly diminished. I do understand they have ya call in just as a hurdle.. but please.. that is so 80ies and so customer abusive.
