Help!! The San Fernando Valley switched to having to dial "1-818-" before telephone calls, last week. I just noticed my Tivo is having problems, dialing (which it does, sometimes, anyway). But shouldn't this have updated, automatically? In any case, I went to "Change Dialing Options," but wasn't sure if this was the way to proceed. My Tivo is older and doesn't have System Update, only System Reset, which I know you are not supposed to ever do.
Any ideas? (I got a message last week about new dial-in numbers, but it said my number is still valid, and I never like to mess with anything on my Tivo which may be working).
Thanks, Jodi
Yep.... you should just be able to rerun guided setup....in fact....it might be possible just to go into phone/network settings and not have to rerun GS totally. Not 100% sure, but you'll be back in no time either way.....
And welcome to the forum!

No need to rerun GS, just go into phone options and choose dial 1+818 plus the number instead of just the 7 digit number you now use.
that...like I thought it might be.

I'm in LOVE with you people. Actually, thanks for the welcome, but I used to come on here a few years ago, when I was a newly in-love with Tivo newbie. I was able to change the phone number through the Phone connection, and am now waiting to make sure things download.
THANKS, Jodi
Hi Jodi. Given that you used to come here and had TiVo a few years ago, we would expect you to have braodband access and a TiVo HD by now. ;)
Just kidding. That's the great part about this forum, there is always someone here to help.
