WOW what a fantastic episode. I thought Anna Torv put in an incredible performance. I even managed to see The Observer walk past the camera as they first approached the building with the jumpers.

Great episode. I noticed that it was written and directed by Oscar-winning writer Akiva Goldsman. Looking at his IMDb page, it appears that this was his first writing for TV and his first time directing anything. That's a great coup for Fringe to get such a high-caliber talent.
Did we know previously that Olivia had been given Cortexiphan as a child, or that she was experimented on? I have a vague recollection about having already known that, but I can't remember anything about the episode where it was revealed.

I'm glad that this show is getting more sophisticated and less plain weird.

I think it was the "solve the puzzle, defuse the bomb" episode where it was revealed that children had been experimented upon and it took place in Jacksonville, Olivia's hometown.

Now this show is starting to get somewhere interesting. Just like Dollhouse.
Naturally, neither will be renewed for next season. Instead, Fox will substitute The Susan Boyle Show and Twittering With Ashton and Oprah. :D

Yeah, she did a great, subtle (and creepy) job when she was the killer stalking the stripper.
And the scene at the beginning when she was describing her dream to the gang was hilarious, especially because everything fit in so perfectly with the personalities of the characters that it wasn't a gag; it was something they would really say or do under the circumstances. So often in that kind of situation writers go for gags that are imposed on the characters for the sake of a laugh, but in that scene the humor came straight from the characters.

Who else is put off when a principle character of a show does a PSA during show breaks especially when it's a british born actor, John Noble.
I don't have a problem when suddenly House has a british accent during an interview as long as it's not a spot during his show.

Nobody else heard Leonard Nimoy playing William Bell at the end of the episode in the video?
Akiva must be a big fan of the show to nail everything so well. I was really surprised. I thought this would definitely be a stand-alone episode, but it was very mythology heavy.

I heard him, and had to rewind to be sure it was his voice. I did hear that he was playing Bell this season. Since we heard him I'm sure we'll see him. But the question is when?

John Noble isn't British, he's Aussie. So is Anna Torv. I thought it was great to hear his true voice during the show.

I always thought he had an accent ON the show! Must just be my ears.

And apparently, Fringe is doing well ratings-wise (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118002709.html?categoryid=14&cs=1), in part thanks to the AI juggernaut.

Wow that's great news. With Lost ending next year, Terminator more than likely gone, Chuck iffy, Dollhouse iffy and Doctor Who on a 2 year break...what's a Sci-Fi fan to do?

Pretty good episode but what was the explanation for the suicide at the beginning of the episode? Did he push her or did she get infected with his "I wanna die" thoughtworm?

Yes, clearly, since on the video footage she jumped, and he was nowhere in sight.

If I had that guy's power I would be going to the strip clubs all the time! Whenever you are turned on so is your object of affection? nice.
But I guess you'd have to be very careful who else is in close proximity to you (like make sure there are no creepy dudes sitting next to you in the strip club) and make sure to be alone whenever depressed.

Actually, Fringe is quite likely to be renewed. TV By The Numbers has it well above the Mendoza line.

It's too bad they couldn't spend a week filming in Boston instead of the NYC cop out.

Funny, I never bothered reading his bio, and from LotR always thought he was British ... until last night. That was very unmistakable.

They are moving to Vancouver anyway, aren't they? Now I'll be looking for The 4400 locations.

I'm not looking forward to the scenery if season 2 is filmed in Vancouver, at least NY makes a pretty decent fake Boston.

The first several seasons of The X-Files (the good seasons) were shot in Vancouver...
Hmm...
