Oh man, Mark Cherry really killed Edie off, bummer! She was my favorite character to hate! But at least the farewell show was well done. I really enjoyed seeing some of the back stories.
Wonder what will happen with Psycho Dave now? I hope they bring back Lily Tomlin's character. She and Mrs. McCloskey (sp?) were really fun to watch.

I liked Edie, but I disliked this farewell show. They seriously lost momentum with her death (was it supposed to be a cliffhanger?) being followed by a few weeks off, and then the best that they can do for her farewell show is basically a copy of the 100th episode that featured the handyman. I felt more for the handyman that was introduced and killed off in an hour than a character that has been around from the start.

So true.
Off topic:
How skinny are these women in real life since TV supposedly adds weight?

Something was said online about Orson being responsible for Edie's death.
I watched last week's episode and can't remember that part. Can someone help me?
Guess it shows how little I cared for Edie.

Orson was in someone's house stealing something, and the homeowner attacked him (with a baseball bat, I think). He was dazed, he ran out into the street and took off his ski mask. Edie was driving down the street, frantically fleeing Dave. She saw Orson in the street and swerved to avoid him.

Didn't mind Edie's character, but this was quite possibly the worst episode of DH I have ever watched.
It was mind-numbing and made me want to smash things against my head. :)

Unlike Edie, the viewers suffered through this one.

I was bummed when she survived the fake attempted suicide. But once I saw she had been cremated I knew this time was for real.

This.
Seemed like they were just retconning her into being likable for the sake of this episode. Didn't work. They should've given her character the death treatment of that one character from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (whom I won't name here for spoilers' sake) and been done with it.

I thought while they were thinking about how she helped them in little ways, that I wish they made the character like this the whole series.
I think Nicolette Sheridan was underutilized.
Was she ever in the opening credits? If so, they took her out of this one.

I think Nicolette Sheridan was underutilized.
I believe that's the reason she said she wanted off the show. Plus the other housewives got pay increases and she didn't.

I never liked her character anyway, so I'm kind of glad she's gone. But now the others need someone new to gang up on.

...but this was quite possibly the worst episode of DH I have ever watched... :)I was incredibly bored through the whole show. Everything from the drive to meeting the son to the wake was so blah. The real Edie would have hated that ending. I know I did.

Thanks. I appreciate the help.

I was surprised at the how did we meet Edie part, I assumed she sold them all their homes of course.
