View Full Version : I go a message on my Tivo HD re new channels, but there is nothing there?

So yesterday I got 3 new HD channels and the program information has been updated in the guide, but when I go to the channel I get a "No channel" message.
Any ideas? They are normal channels like Sci Fi so yes, I should be getting them.

When your cable provider adds new channels to your lineup it notifies Trib Media Services (where TiVo gets guide data) of the addition. Many times it may provide an incorrect date (or no date) for the change. So TiVo adds them, but they are not avaialable yet. Most likely they are coming soon. You may want to call your provider and ask them when.

TWC in Charlotte is terrible about that. They publicly post dates for channel updates on their web page and send them out via press releases. Tivo and Tribune Media Services (and everyone else) update according to that info, but then TWC pushes the date out a week or two later without informing anyone.
