I recently added a used Pioneer DVR-810h to my list of Tivos in my home. Had it now for 3 days and it is a good unit and I like it. My other TIvo is an S1 Sony SVR-2000 which is whisper quiet and I hardly notice that it is in my room. When I powered up the Pioneer the one thing I noticed quickly is that the fan on this unit is considerably louder. It sounds fine and cools the Tivo properly. I have 2 questions to the forum. Is the Pioneer fan normally a bit on the louder side and does anyone know of a quieter upgraded fan that I can go to that gets me closer to the quietness of my S1 Sony.
