Comcast TiVo to Philly area?

Hey guys,

Any idea on when Comcast will begin to offer the TiVo upgrade for people in the philly area? I keep checking to no avail so I figured I'd ask you guys. Thanks

I do not believe that there are plans to enable Tivo on the Motorola boxes in Philly. Cablecards are well supported here. In fact the new Motorola HD boxes from Comcast has are actually MCard receivers.

You can pick up a Tivo HD for around $200. With the ability to do Netflix streaming and Amazon, plus home media options it trumps whatever Comcast could offer. Plus it pays for itself over time not paying for box rental fees.
