I'm tired of waiting for someone to start the thread.
Pot gets legalized; Peter gets too baked to do a cutaway.

I thought it was a great episode. Loved the musical number.

Missed the first half, I didn't set it up to record.
What was the song Peter was doing when he was the Siren, can't place it.

I wondered that too. It kept seeming really familiar, but I couldn't place it either.

Every once in a while I catch this in the DVR's buffer on Sunday night, and I rewind. Happened to see this one. Seems like the "Legalize Pot" bit has been overdone, but overall there were some good laughs. I am regretting keeping the TV on and watching American Dad afterwards, though.

I liked the "List of people Peter doesn't like" Chris Martin was listed like 3 times and Soleil Moon Frye (sp?).
Then I liked Peter's observation about "How I Met Your Mother".

Yeah that was funny.
When Pewterschmidt and Peter were talking about spanking Lois I loved the distant "Giggity!" in the background.

Can you remind me pls what it was? I'm drawing a blank.
Stewie had some good lines "but I don't NOT have to be naked, right?"

He was talking about Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, and how NPH got the role in that show cause of his role in White Castle.
I think that was it

He said he didn't understand why Bob Sagat does the voice over when Ted is already an adult on the show so there was no point of there being a voice change.

Then he started talking about how Bob Saget's voice is the voice of Future Ted, but it doesn't make sense because Ted is already an adult in the show, so it's not like he's going to grow into Bob Saget, etc.

I enjoyed the irony (at least for my affiliate) of having an anti-drug ad right as the first commercial in the last break. :D

Also, they were doing Earth Day promos on Fox. When they showed the two TV anchors on pot, Fox had a bug on the screen that said something like GO GREEN. LOL

That's actually very common. Usually when a show does a drug centric episode, they'll run a anti-drug ad in a prominent slot. Helps keep the anti-drug crowd off the network's back.

Now that was funny. I almost wonder if someone planned to use this episode during the "Go Green" week.

I think it was 100% aired when it was for 4/20 and NOT earth/going green day/week at all
Funny story
In high school one year they had a contest to design an earth day pin, and that year earth day HAPPENED to fall on 4/20
the winning design was a HUGE 4-20 (and a little 98) or whatever year it was
All green colored of course :D

Oh I understand. That PSA slot took up a paid advertisers slot but it does make the network look "responsible".

When they do stuff like that (and some of the things they do on South Park where they spoof celebrities) I always wonder why the writers don't like this or that person. What does MacFarlane have against Chris Martin?

What's even better was the Burger King, or was it Wendy's, commercial right after the anti-drug ad. :D

They've apologized for some of these on the "Family Guy" DVD commentaries. What seems to happen is that it's a very late night in the writers' room, someone shouts out a random celebrity name, it seems funny at the time, and nine months later when it's actually on TV, they regret it.

do you mean the "i like big butts"-derived commercial? I think many South Parks are hilarious despite being very crude... but this commercial gets to me, based on the content/original song and that the commercial seems to be geared towards kids.
Then again, I avoid commercials with 30 second skip so I get past it fast. (Despite using 30 second skip and hating commercials, I still think I end up seeing most commercials at least once...)

If they got rid of that creepy king (seriously, that guy creeps me out to the point I might get a complex going into a burger king!!), I would really enjoy the commercial.

It was for the BK Lounge, but if the King wasn't there one would think Wendys for the square burgers.

I rather enjoyed the musical number-and LOLed when they were throwing the bags of weed and one fell into Mr Bottomtooth's mouth...but IIRC he has been shown to be a devout Christian...but he smiled anyway...:confused:
