OK this is an issue I have lived with for a long time. When I push list or if I ask it to record a show I am watching it keeps playing live tv but the system is locked. It can take up to 30 seconds to go to the now playing list.

Any ideas? Power supply? Software update????

I have found this sometinms happens after a few months of use. I usually do a restart using the option below clear & delete everything (sorry can't remember its name offhand). After that the responsiveness is much much better but you have to set up favorite channel lists, season passes, etc. again.

I'd try a hard reboot. Unplug it for 30s and then reconnect.

If you think a HR10-250 is slow wait until you use a HR21, mine is slow as hell, others say they love it and its not slow.

I have a box running 3.1.5 that is (obviously) not connected to a phone line. I had piled up nearly 1000 messages nagging me to phone home. It could literally take 2 minutes for the main (blue) menu to appear. I finally got the nerve to try that option ("clear program list....data...." or something like that) which it claimed would take an hour. 5 hours later it was still doing its thing, and I had to go to work. But when I got home, it was very zippy.
