New Youtube Service

Just saw this article in the Philly paper this morning. Youtube will now be offering free TV shows and movies (taking some Hulu thunder). I wonder how the quality will translate over to our Tivos.

I wonder what kind of content there will be and how we would be able to access them from the TiVo.....do you think it would just be searchable like everything else????

I read a while ago that Sony Movies has partnered with Youtube, allowing for full length movies and tv shows to be viewed on Youtube.

I would just be happy if TiVo would show the high quality versions of YouTube content. AFAIK, it always shows the low quality versions.

Agreed. I can understand defaulting to lower quality, and I have no problem with that, but it would be nice to have the option of switching to higher quality.

A quick glance just now did not show any menu change on You Tube for Tivo that allow access to the shows as you can as of today online on a PC. My guess is a software upgrade coming soon? Let's hope so.

I too enjoy youtube. However using the remote to access programs is almost painful at times. But a small USB connectable keyboard in the future? Priceless! Tivo are you listening? ;)

I can't wait for Tivo to add a YouTube link that lets you get to these full length shows and movies.

Just curious to see if anybody has been able to watch any of the full length TV shows or movies yet. I cannot find any when I do a search.

I've added some old comedies into a playlist but from Tivo it does not show up in the list.
