I recently upgraded my Series 2 standalone Tivo. I ran SApper to enable some of the hacks. I did not see TivoWebPlus in the list of applicaitons that were installed.

I downloaded and installed the latest version (2.1.b3). The install seemed to go just fine.

I thought I had started the service with this line in my telnet session
/var/hack/TivoWebPlus/tivoweb

I tried accessing it from my web browser by using the IP address and I got the default Congrats... you networked your Tivo page.

I dug farther and decided to reboot and run the service again... same outcome.

I would guess that my problem is due to being new in this area. Any help?

Thanks

For tivos that have networking enabled natively, many/most have a primitive http service running on port 80.

If TWP2 starts up and can't open its port (defaults to 80), it tries 8080.

if TWP2 isn't running on 8080, then you should check /var/log/tivoweb.log for errors (it also logs the port that is being used)

I did check 8080... no luck there either. I did a port scan and tried all open ports just to be sure.

I'll check the logs when I get the drive back up. I need to rebuild due to it not recognizing all the space on the new drive.

For the SA Tivos that cause TWP to move to 8080, do you need to disable netfilter like the DTivos? My only SA is an S1, so i'm not sure if that could be an issue here.
