I don't know how to describe this.
When I change a channel, I see:
the blue info screen about the channel that I changed to
Then the screen goes black
Then the info screen is shown for a split second but it's only in 1/4 of the screen.
Then I see green "snow" kinda of like if I were watching a blocked channel.
Then the picture is fine after that.
This just started happening on the HD TVs.
The output that goes to non-HD Tvs, doesn't see this snow/swiggly stuff.
I don't think anything new changed in my setup.
I have a Tivo HD running Cox NOVA cable cards with a Switched Video Tuning Adapter. I also have an external hard drive - mydvrexpander from western digital which I added a month ago.
I am using the component output to go to a component splitter which is connected to a Sharp 19 HD TV and Sharp 37 inch HD TV.
The composite output is sent to a quad channel distribution and then piped via coax around the house. A non-HD tv in the bedroom does not have this new problem.
Unfortunately, the tivo is 65 feet from an HDTV so I can't easily just use an HDMI cable to see if that is the problem.
I did send an email to COX a few days ago asking them why all my shows were copy protected. I don't know if they screwed it up or not from their end. I did call COX and they said they could give me a new tuner adapter if I thought that would help.
So maybe that's my next step?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
