View Full Version : Slow menus/remote response on HR21

I have both an HR20-700 and an HR21-700. The HR21 is way, way slower in the menus / with remote response. It is very noticeable in the Now Playing List to the point where I press the down arrow and have to wait a good 4-5 seconds for the selection to move down once, very annoying. By contrast, my HR20 is speedy within its menus.

Any ideas?

Some HR21's have a slowness issue. DBSTalk has tons of info.

Count me in on that, too. I have a HR20-100 and a HR21-100. The HR20 is much, much faster. The HR21 is unbearably slow, so much so that I pulled it from service and replaced it with an HR10-250.

I tried a couple of things this weekend:
(1) Restarted
(2) Set my remotes to RF mode

At this point my remote response is definitely snappier. Since I did both of the above I'm not really sure which of the 2 (or both) is responsible. I'll see if responsiveness degrades over time, but at this point it is much, much better.
