Intermittent 21-700 reception

I have a 21-700 that is having an issue. When watching a sat program, every 30 seconds or so the screen goes gray, the schedule title bar comes up and then the picture returns. This only happens on live programs and not recordings. It alo occurs when viewing the schedule, in the small screen.

Suggestions before I call DTV?

Yes. I have done that - at least power off / power on. Is there a hard reset button?

I did not mention in my original post that I have 4 other standard def receivers/DVR's that are not affected. Wondering if my HD DVR is defective. I 'bought' this unit last year. Since it is classified as a 'lease' by DTV will they give me a replacement if it turns out to be the box?

It could very well be, the gray screen is something I had once and had to have the HR20 replaced.

I'll admit I feel like an idiot - but I did a reset with the reset button and it seems to have cleared up the issue. Posting my mea culpa so others will try before clogging up the forum before trying the obvious.....

i assumed, wrongly, that when you said power off/power on you meant you unplugged it, since that's the only way to really power off the unit.
