I have a new PC and an DSR-708 that will not boot. I have another hard drive that should work. I also has Instant cake 6.2 and PTV upgrade. However the issue i am running into is I only have one IDE port on my mother board and the rest are SATA. Is it possible to install an image on the driver?

Get a USB-IDE adapter and use MFS Live.

Your best bet would be to get an IDE-SATA adapter. They can be purchased for less than $10 on ebay.
