I just switched from comcast to verizon fios. When I had comcast I had my series 2 single tuner tivo connected to the box with rca cables and the ir sensors, and had my coax cable split - one going into my box, one into my tv, however this isn't working with the fios. Is there anyway to watch one channel while recording another without having to get an additional box? Thanks!

The reason it worked before is that there was SOMETHING there on the cable that your TV was able to make use of...likely analog TV channels.
From what I hear, FiOS has discontinued analog TV service, and everything comes thru the box. If this is true in your case, there's no analog TV channels for your TV to make use of.
Your TV is analog, or does it have a digital tuner? (Even if it does, many TVs with digital tuners can't tune QAM, the digital cable format, which FiOS likely doesn't use anyway.)

FiOs does use QAM, but the only channels they send down the line clear are locals.
