Up until yesterday I've had a Series 2 & a Series 3, and the Home Media Options seem to be working just fine. Last night I set up our new HD box, and I can transfer files to and from it using TiVo Desktop with no problem. But when I try to use the 2 or the 3 to browse the HD's files, they say there's no programs to transfer. And the same goes with trying to access the Series 2 or 3 with the HD. I already have HMO enabled on that box. What else could be the problem? Is there some way to kick the TiVO HD into action here?

Reboot your router and your Tivo's. The router is the key, especially if you are connecting anything over a wireless network.

You might try and update Tivo Desktop's certificates.

The certificate update only affects Desktop 2.6 and earlier. 2.6.1 and up have the new certs built in. In any case the OP is having problems with MRV, not Desktop.
Rebooting all of the TiVos is the best suggestion, and forcing daily calls on all of them wouldn't hurt. It can take a while for the kids to recognize a new member of the family.

Check the MAK to be sure the new HD shows the same as the existing ones. I posted here about a similar thing when I got the second machine, and everything fixed itself by day 2. As stated, a few syncs to the network always help move things along.
