I tried to wade through dozens of threads talking about the same issue, but I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for, so I'm adding to the stack, and hoping to sort it out. As far I can tell, I have the same pixelation and sound drops that others are experiencing. I can't record in HD anymore, the episode will start to record, but it will be so pixelated that it will drop the recording, so I get a lot of partial recordings. Also, when trying to access HD channels and when playing standard definition shows, the screen will often go gray and freeze for some time. This time can be as little as 10 seconds, and upwards of 2-3 minutes, at which point, I can't access the home screen.
So the questions I have are:
1. Is it my Tivo, the cable cards, the Radio Shack splitter, or something else I may be missing?
2. What recourse do I have, and who should I contact, Tivo or Comcast?
Other information that I can add is that this just started happening in the past couple of months, and has been getting progressively worse, to the point where I can't watch or record any live HD programming.
Other Info:
Model: Tivo Series 3 HD DVR
Cable Co: Comcast
Cable Cards: Motorola
CC Version: 04.21
I apologize, but reading through the various threads, was near impossible, there were so many different tangents. Any help or direction people could give, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!!
