I've heard about it, but have no idea what it's about.
What channel is it on?

It's on AMC and it's an excellent show. I think the first season had seven episodes, so it should be fairly easy to get caught up on. Also, Bryan Cranston won the Emmy for Best Actor in a Drama for his performance on this show.
For those of you who haven't seen this, you should definitely take advantage of this opportunity.

The Sopranos has a good couple of seasons. The last 2 seasons would have been good if they had been leading up to something. The finale pissed me off to no end.

What's it about?
In a nutshell: High school chemistry teacher, barely making ends meet, finds out he's got terminal lung cancer and decides to get into the meth-cooking business to make some money for his family before he dies.

You really shouldn't discount it based solely on the premise. The performances are excellent, and the story is very compelling.

And nothing is predictable. You've never seen anything or heard a line on Breaking Bad before.

You're doing yourself a disservice being so ignorantly dismissive.

Fantastic show. Sucked it was shortened by the strike last year. I'll definitely rewatch season 1, can't wait for S2.

Thanks for the heads up! I started watching the pilot several times on Amazon, but never got very far. Luckily I have a second TiVo now so I can record the entire marathon. It was conflicting with like 5 things on my old TiVo.

Ah, yes.
No thanks.
Breaking Bad, along with MAD Men, are two of the finest shows on TV. AMC really suprised me carrying such quality shows.

I've been wanting to get into this since I love Vince Gilligan from his X-Files days. Thanks for the heads up!
(Now, if AMC could just give us more Mad Men...)

I've been jonesing for season 2 for a long time now. I'm really excited that it is almost here. This is one of those shows that started strong and just got better and better with each successive episode.
