Transfer Rate From PC to TiVo

Says one can check transfer rates from the PC to the TiVo via:
Tivo Central -> Messages & Settings -> Settings -> Phone & Network -> View network diagnostics -> Transfer History

However, my TiVo does not have a "View network diagnostics" option. It has a "Network Status" but that only shows the signal strength not the transfer rate.

Is there anywhere to check the actual transfer rate from the PC to the TiVo?

That only applies to HD and S3 TiVo DVRs.

You know the file size and you can time how long the transfer takes so you can calculate manually:
rate (Mbps) = Kbytes/(8000*secs)
where Mbps == Mega bits per second

Many firewall software programs allow you to monitor ingoing and outgoing data transfer rate. I use Sygate which is free for personal use.
